Dementia Care Can Prove Challenging to Manage
Dementia (which includes Alzheimer’s) is a condition which is afflicting more New Zealander’s than ever and set to increase as a result of increasing diagnosis and an ageing demographic.
Dementia care is proving challenging for family members to manage particularly with low levels of funded care available, and difficult for them to observe as they see their loved ones change as a result of this degenerative condition.
Care on Call are able to help by providing Carers and Coordinating staff who:
Have extensive prior experience
Are trained to deal with Dementia clients and their behaviour’s
Will make a client’s surroundings safe
Will work with families to develop a flexible and comprehensive care plan
Will assist with total client welfare including all Personal Cares, Exercises, Medication Management, Meal and daily routines and Night Supervision.
